Thank you Zippo

By Kolb My Zippo arrived from the Zippo repair clinic

Wonderful, yesterday I received a package in the mail. At first sight I didn’t knew what it was but after shaking with it and hearing a metallic sound. I knew it was my Zippo, which was in repair at the Zippo clinic.

In 46 days the Zippo was repaired. 16 days longer as I first estimated. But hey, it was free so I do not complain.

This is what Zippo mailed me back As far as I can see I got a new inside lighting mechanism (manufacturing year 2006) and a new hinge. Apart from the original case I basically got a new Zippo. For free. The old lighting mechanism (manufacturing year 1995) was enclosed with the return package. They do that because lots of people attach some emotional value to their Zippo. Not me, but I’ll sell it on eBay. I’m gonna make profit from this matter, for sure.

For the rest I got a free set of Zippo Flints, some brochures for joining the Zippo club and that’s it.

Lifetime Guarantee checked by Repcred. Thanks Zippo.

  2. I did not bought my Zippo. I was lucky enough to find one on the streets. How cool is that?

You can buy a Zippo in any quality newspaper shop. Online or in a tobacco shop.
