Reefer Madness basically is pure propaganda. It's a 1936 movie financed by a small church group (and according to some sources, the US government). In Reefer Madness they want to warn the American public about the dangers of marijuana use.

This image is a poster promoting the movie. It's quite hilarious. The same goes for the movie. Missing it's original point completely.

Taxi Driver is in my opinion one of the strongest movies ever created. The film was directed by Martin Scorsese in 1976 and had a cast with mostly unknown names such as Harvey Keitel (Reservoir Dogs), Jodie Foster (Silence of the Lamb) and off course the magical Robert De Niro.
